I was born in the corn - I'm originally from Davenport, Iowa (aka "The Quad Cities"). After college and working for a few years, I ended up making the move to St Louis, Missouri in the summer of 2002. What a shock I was in for. It was kind of different coming from an area thats very quiet and everything seems to shut down by 9pm (haha)to a city that has something going it seems like 24/7. I'm a laid back person and get along with just about anybody. I wont dislike a person unless they give me a reason to. I have two kids (step-son and a daughter). I love being a mom. My family is my #1 priority!! I'm very fortunate to have the type of life that I do and its something I have never (and will never) take for granted. For the past 5 years I've been doing work at our local elementary school in the St Louis Public School District. I picked "other" as my ethnicity since I am biracial (half african-american/half white). Its something thats very important to me and I am blessed to have such a diverse background. I'm especially proud of my Irish heritage because the country of Ireland has always fascinated me and I have always wanted to go there for a vacation. In the summers we camp a lot - I'm proud to say that I went for my first time ever last summer. Other than that, I like to hang out with the girls and talk. I'll admit - I'm a talker ;) I try not to think about the past or the future - I like to live my life in the moment. Life is too short so get out there and enjoy it will you can. We're big hockey fans in our house - we had a minor league team (RIP Missouri River Otters) that we supported but they folded in 2006 after 7 seasons in the United Hockey League. Rumor has it that we're getting a new team in the fall. During the summer, you'll catch me watching the Gateway Grizzlies tearin it up over in Illinois.
